GB-Sol minimises the carbon footprint of its aluminium frames

As part of our commitment to reducing the CO2 generated in the production of our PV modules and mounting systems, we have been able to have our RIS (roof integration system) sections extruded from aluminium billets which come from aluminium drinks cans. This material is sourced in North Wales and extruded within a few miles of our factory in South Wales so we have also cut down the transportation miles at the same time.

All deliveries in 2011 will have this new material.

We have many other carbon reductions coming on stream in the near future, each a stepping stone towards our goal of becoming a zero carbon manufacturer making a zero carbon product.
